Since I upgraded to 11.04, I get some seaview crashes, not always predictible.
One crash example after doing an alignment with Muscle. I did 'Align All', then
'OK'.

I do experience the same symptoms on Jaunty, i.e. 20s break in

I confirm that networkmanager does not start the lo interface when I'm
using a static IP configuration on eth1 (at work). This causes several
GTK applications, including firefox, to be extremely slow. When using
the wireless (wlan0, at home), lo is started automatically and I don't
have this proble

I had a similar problem: upgrade my kubuntu dapper to edgy, and then
Xorg complained about unavailable drivers.
I fixed it by running:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
and selected 'nvidia' intead of 'nv' in the driver section.
