Hit this problem - saw an error flash by about not having agreed to eula
so cannot update, but can't find that message in any log.

Same basic result - wants to start but fails
Starts, allows livecd to start
Fails a few seconds exactly how depending on which options are set
(acpi, apic, irqpoll).
I give up - has to be the firmware in motherboard is bug

Yes still a problem with release version
Recent tests with Open Solaris (booted but not stable) and NetBSD indicate it
might work but (this was me trying NetBSd last week)

I have a Samsung A411 a cheapo bluetooth dongle and setup was previously
working in 8.04.
Phone asks for password - which I am pretty sure I didn't set to connect
and then fails at pairing.
Failed repeated tries as others above -

Workaround works here - tested with vlc and reran (dvb)scan for local
area all detected and basic tuner working. IR remote not working -
different firmware required? I loaded modprobe ir-kbd-i2c and got
volume sort of working - only button that worked

This might not be good if you are on dialup - but try
downloading puppy linux - 83Mb and booting from cd.
It is a live cd. The question this will answer is
whether it is a driver/setup issue with feisty et al
or whether it is a linux problem. Puppy has a small
tool to mount all sorts of partitio

in particular.
