occurs probably 2/3 of the time on cold startup in the dock (lid

show this problem. There was some speculation by me that it was due to a
race condition, happening on my 7840U laptop would mean this is much

Have tested on jammy (24.4.1-0ubuntu0~22.04.2), noble
(24.4.1-0ubuntu0~24.04.2) and oracular (24.4.1-0ubuntu0~24.10.2), and
can confirm the proposed packages fixed the issue in all three cases.
