Please do not change CS35L41_AMP_GAIN_CTRL from 4.5 db.
Without the firmware for the device, the laptop speaker has no protection, and
a higher gain can damage the speaker.

I build the kernel like this: (Arch Linux)
zcat /proc/config.gz > .config
make olddefconfig
./scripts/config --enable CONFIG_SND_HDA_SCODEC_CS35L41_I2C
./scripts/config --enable CONFIG_SERIAL_MULTI_INSTANTIATE
make -j16 all
And install that kernel.
