I didn't think widget layer was included with 10.10. I have a clean
10.10 install and the widget layer is no longer in the compiz manager.

Roman, your workaround works for me. But only with up/down arrow keys. I
can't assign my zoom stick to fire mouse buttons 4 & 5 (i.e. scroll
wheel). It gives me an error when I try this...

Can I also point out that, when I have two windows on my widget layer,
every time I access the widget layer the window which was not focused
before comes into focus. This is annoying, I would expect my last
focused window to still be in focus, but instead it is the opposite.

This happens for me, too. Except I have no workarounds. Pressing
"authenticate" doesn't work. Closing the authentication dialog works but
doesn't unlock the app. However, I can use software centre fine if I
sudo the command. This is not the case for login screen,
though...

I've upgraded from Intrepid to Jaunty and I have the problem too.
With Intrepid, all beeps came from the internal pc speaker. In jaunty it
comes from my sound-card speakers. I do not want to disable beep, I just
want it back to my internal pc speaker. Any ideas how?
