The system boots without any problem but using the microphone on my
webcam triggers the bug. The microphone works fine the first time. But

Every time I tried to enable encryption on install and hibernate I got
these kernel crashes. Every time I tried an install without encryption
then hibernate worked as expected. I gave as much information as I knew
how to give at the time. After messing with it for several weeks and not
getting anyw

Keyboard Preferences. This would allow the user to see which Layout is

I just did a fresh install of 9.10 and full updates but I /did not/ do
encryption. Suspend and Hibernate work perfectly.
So I did another install /with/ encryption (selected at install time) and

Same hardware AC 97. Broke after upgrade to Ibex from Heron. Problem was
solved by manually installing linux-generic package, as my machine was
booting with 2.6.25-2-386 kernel after upgrade. Linux-generic installed
2.6.27-7-generic and problem was resolved.

I did notice a strange crash when I rebooted my computer this morning.
I had seen something similar to this, but this is a much more verbose

Okay, ignore the "quiet splash" comment. This seems to happen randomly.
Some times I can boot and some times I cannot.
I was able to catch more of the messages when the error occurs:
ata1.00 qc timeout (cmd 0x27)
ata1.00 failed to read native max address (err_mask=0x4)
ata1.00 failed to recover
I attempted to boot the amd64 install cd in live mode and came up with
the same results.
I then booted the kernel from GRUB without the "quiet splash" options at
the end, and the kernel booted correctly.
I also built the 2.6.24.4 kernel via the Git Kernel Build instructions.

I'm seeing this problem when I have a div with a fixed position and
content that is justified. When you scroll the justified text, the
scroll is really choppy. When changed to left instead of justified, the
text scrolls smoothly.

I also have this problem on my Gateway MX6440. I did not have this
problem in 6.10, the card reader worked fine with tifm_sd / tifm_7xx1,
tifm_core (and mmc_core). In order to get it to work with the 6.10 live
cd I simply have to modprobe tifm_sd and it works.
On 7.04 it used to work occasionally.

I'm experiencing the same thing. I apt-get upgraded this morning and it
pulled the 2.6.17-11-server kernel. The previous kernel was
2.6.17-10-server, which worked fine. I rebooted and got a similar
problem as above. When I attempted to ssh into the box, I got a kernel
panic.

Ah yes, sorry. I forgot I had XGL/Compiz running. Running under
metacity makes it not show up. This is the only dialog that shows
"untitled window", so is this a compiz bug or just a really obscure,
