I have exactly the same error here. I tried to build my own kernel. All is ok, but when I try to install the *.deb, I get the error during the package configuration. There is my configuration : - Ubuntu 8.10. Installed from scratch, no upgrades from a previous version. - Nvidia Driver version : 1
