Hi Timo,
i tried the 2.0 which is on your site. The driver does not change &
remains at static 1152*768. Any attempt to change it either via the System >
Preferences > Screen Resolution applet or by using xrandr to change it to
something like 1024*768 @ 75 hz the session ends unexpectedl

when I was asked to move the .gnome2/ directory I moved it into the windows
hard disk so there would be no issues. When asked to do .tar.gz did the same
by moving it back but onto desktop so that there would be no issues like that.

Decided its not a duplicate hence no rejection because although bug #104223 are
similar here it does not go to login. More so this driver is a community
maintained driver unlike 1.9.93 version.

I am self-rejecting it, the VGA mode in my BIOS was of 1 MB , which in
Windows is enough for the usplash there but apparently not in Ubuntu. Putting
it to 8 MB resolved the usplash issue. Sorry for taking your time & thanx for

Ok with the new user, things look fine atm. apart from network being
super slow . Put the new user as a desktop user. Here is his .xsession-
errors file.

While chatting on IRC couple of people did inform that they were
successful on sending 50 MB crash files. Mind you these are the full
crash reports, not the shrinked down version as apport also gives as an

Hi all,
- I am using Gnome. After todays updates, I cannot get the window
decorations to work. The only way I can do so is by going to virtual terminal
(ALT+F1) or (CTRL+ALT+F1) and typing there DISPLAY=:0 metacity --rep
The latest one is after todayś updates.

This one is after using the DISPLAY=:0 metacity --replace &
notice that the status of all the windows are present now. which was
not earlier. Also the window decoration for all the windows are present.
