I installed the alsa driver as indicated per the instructions on the site. Rebooted, and still no sound. I then tried your suggestions to change the output connector, and I now have sound using the Analog Output / No Amplifier option. I now have sound (at least in a random YouTube video). Thank

Public bug reported: I am using Ubuntu 10.04.1 Desktop LTS i386 on a eMachines M622-UXK8. I just installed this release on this laptop this week. I have had Mandriva Linux on this machine before with the same results. I know the issue is not Ubuntu specific, but I am unable to get sound to work
