changing the path to qdbus fixed the problem.
plainly inserted /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt4/bin/qdbus to the script
where needed.

You might need to update the bios to the latest version. There was a
bug in it. Brightness control works with no problem without any
additional software after updating it. On N110 produced in October 2009
brightnes works out of box even in Karmic.
You might need to use a Window
it works perfectly after installing samsung-tools from voria repositories:

Tested with Samsung N 110.
All special Fn Keys are functional and configurable.
