Too bad custom DSDT support has been dropped. Thats why I cannot move on from JJ. 67GTA confirmed that OpenSUSE has support for it. And as a KDE user, I am considering moving to Archlinux, since Kubuntu is being treatead as 2nd class. @Rad3k: does Arch have custom DSDT support? Thanks guys. --

I got a work-around by creating a custom DSDT file following this awesome howto [1] and thanks to 67GTA's kind help. It'll help to boot the laptop on battery only, until the package that was broken from HH to JJ (or the kernel) gets fixed. If you have an HP DV6646us laptop, here's the DSDT file
