highres console with Debian Etch. With Ubuntu it makes console switching
impossible because Ctrl+Alt+F1 etc. results in a messed up screen
content. Fortunately Ctrl+Alt+F7 brings back the GUI.

There are still several serious problems with suspend/resume in Feisty
and Gutsy as one can read across the various ubuntu related forums.
There shouldn't be any option for suspending the machine offered to the
user unless it's somewhat shure that the machine will resume properly.
