** Description changed: The following entry in /boot/grub/menu.lst resulted in a beautiful highres console with Debian Etch. With Ubuntu it makes console switching impossible because Ctrl+Alt+F1 etc. results in a messed up screen content. Fortunately Ctrl+Alt+F7 brings back the GUI. #
