Leann, 'noapictimer' was there only for testing purposes. The system
behaves the same with or without this option.
This is indeed a duplicate of bug 254668 and I'll be posting there.

I attach my dmesg and timer_list.
Also, this is not necessarily related to this bug, but IMHO worth
noting: after working with the system several hours (programming, mainly
keyboard usage) the system _may_ suddenly stop responding to mouse
clicks -- mouse movement works, keyboard works, and everyt
make that “mode_option” instead of “mode” and it works for me, too!

additional information:
1. Waking the system from suspend to disk mode does NOT trigger this
error.
2. On a normal boot, I can stop the boot process AGAIN at any time by
just releasing the key, as long as the “kernel event driver” (IIRC) is
not loaded. This is about the line I need to have on scr
