I really wish I could give you the steps to reproduce it, but I never
figured out a pattern. What I can tell you about the bug is this:

This not only effects typing in Korean through ibus, but also typing in
Esperanto.
Example attempting to type in Esperanto (plena - m17 method) the word
`ĉielo', I get `iĉleo', where both c and e allow for changes based on
the following letter, the next letter after that letter has been
selected e
I have this problem on both a 32bit laptop with an ATI radeon card, and
a 64bit with an intel mobility card.

Holger, try purging all configuration files for anki (I believe located
in your home folder in .anki) and then try the fix again. I know some
people said that was necessary to fix the problem in VLC. My config
problems were already purged (really I had uninstalled and deleted
everything remotely
