no. Zhang Zengbo's test case (#115602) isn't applicable to my issue, but
it's close to it.
I start Thunderbird, then I setup an account with the option "check for
mails automatically" disabled
I have exactly the same problem here (Xubuntu 7.04, Thunderbird 1.5.0.12).
So yes, it is still an issue for at least some people.
And no, I'm not using a different language pack with Thunderbird.
I hope you'll find a solution for it soon.
