Found the problem: The Debian source for the libparted package does not
include the patch introduced by commit c6dc6e5d in 2015 (No official
parted release since 2014, so picking commits is unfortunately needed).

Binary package hint: fgetty
In order to show the needfulness of the crashing fgetty, I submit this
bug. fgetty doesn't work in ubuntu at all, because it says
checkpassword: wrong password
all time, at every input. Can somebody fix it?

The gnome-power-manager systray-applet did't react my clicks on my laptop.
Later, with no message or hibernation (normally it is right), the laptop turned
off while talking over VoIP.
What could went wrong? Is it only the applet or a power deamon who failed? Or

For me fgetty is unusable…
fgetty-longin2 brings up a "Segmentation fault"
fgetty-login says every time "wrong password" while I press enter; so I think,
it crashes, because normally it should wait a few seconds when a wrong password
is ent
I got it away in 'repairing' packages by the easy grub-recoverymode-menu.
After a new kernel was installed (apt-get hadn't anything, just dpkg) and a new
nvidia package configured,
nothing was selected in the hardware-driver menu. I manually activated nvidia
