Things also started working for me again. I saw the email above and
decided to try again. I know it wasn't working a couple of weeks ago but
now perfect.

Exact problem here since upgrade to Intrepid. Works fine from the
bluetooth applet. Fails with error message mentioned above when sending
from desktop "send to"

All I get in the log is

Found out that a script I was using to compile the latest compiz is also
compiling libx11-xcb1 since the version in Gutsy doesn't support xcb.
This breaks java.

If I go to a page with java in it like

firefox from a console.

I am also having a similiar problem with Gutsy running the latest
updated on a Thinkpad T60. The problem here is when I suspend the screen
goes blank. The hard drive light flicks for a few seconds. Then the caps
lock and num lock flash. Then it sits at the flashing cresent moon.
