I also have this exact issue, with MSI PRO Z690-A Wifi DDR4 motherboard,
with the latest firmware.
In addition, as this machine has a DVD drive, I can hear the following options
by editing GRUB:
reboot=pci
reboot=efi
Those cause a real reboot - there is a "click" for power-off/on and the
DVD dri
I can also confirm that the touchscreen and stylus are working again on
my Lenovo Yoga C740 on the recently released version 5.8.0-49. I believe
we can consider this fixed.

The /etc/cron.daily/locate script runs as wrong user. In the package the
line says LOCALUSER="nobody" but it should be LOCALUSER="root" because
if the "updatedb" script runs as nobody a lot of files can't be indexed

Now something has changed since as I took more disk to use. As the
system is a dual-boot, I mounted the Windows system disk (SSD) as read-
only and another disk as shared read-write for both systems to use.

Attaching a debdiff that incorporates the patch in the upstream bug
report. I've tested it on my servers for about 24h now, and it seems to
work perfectly. I haven't got a single error message from munin, while
normally I get 2-5 of them each day.

the failure was Samsung's own lpr, or symbolic link /usr/local/bin/lpr

Xorg sometimes segfaults for me when waking from suspend. The result is
that I have to log in again instead of resuming the previous X session.

I am still getting the same crash with 1:0.9.6+bzr20110929-0ubuntu1.
This happened within 60 seconds after login on a newly booted machine
(but *after* the one window - Terminal - had been opened).

Enabling or disabling oneiric backports shouldn't make any difference because
the oneiric backports are empty (as far as I can see).
