All those logs are from 2.6.20
With 2.6.22, I can't get past login with rtl 8187 native driver and
networkmanager enabled. I have no problems with ndiswrapper driver and
netmanager disabled. I'll try to find out what's up with it.

I'll test both. I'll test gutsy kernel tomorrow. I may be wrong but I
don't think gnome version is the main thing here, so it should be ok to
test feisty kernel on gutsy gnome. Or am I wrong? I dont remember if

The kernel I was using when noticed the bug was latest feisty kernel. I
just dist-upgraded to Gutsy this night. I'll try to test both kernels
(latest feisty and latest gutsy).
These logs that you're asking for, I take I must wait for the connection
dropping problem to occur before saving the logs
Maybe you could try contacting the other people that answered this bug
in confirmation.
Sorry, but I'm still new to bug reporting. What minimal info should I
post on the other bug report?

Torrents freeze system on wireless connection
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/46845
You received this bug
No. It was rtl8187 from ubuntu default install that dropped the
connection. All is fine with ndiswrapper win98 drivers. But that's with
rtl8187.
When I first posted this bug, I was talking about rtl8180 with r818x
driver, another hardware and another driver. I posted another bug some
hours ago for
Public bug reported:
Connection drops randomly, but more often when using torrent downloads (ifdown

I used to have kernel freezes with ubuntu native driver for rtl8180 on my old

Hello. Still here, but I dont use the 8180 anymore. I'm using rtl8187
and though it won't freeze the kernel, it drops the connection when
using torrents. And that makes me think there are something about ubuntu
and realtek wireless drivers.

Torrents freeze system on wireless connection
https:/
Using ndiswrapper works fine. I noticed that the r818x driver ir more
prone to freeze the system while uploading then downloading, so maybe
that's why it happens more often with torrents. It worked fine for me
when I used SUSe, though...

This issue is still a bugger in edgy. I've just tried the new kernel
2.6.17-5-k7 and had the usual total freeze. I'll try compiling the
driver from cvs and see what happens when I find the time. Ndiswrapper
still works flawlessly.

rtl818x - System hangs when uploading files.
https://launchpad.
The problem with rtl8180 and ndiswrapper using wep is in
/etc/network/interfaces. If you use the windows driver you need to set your key
before the essid, and you need to specify what kinda authentication you have
In my interfaces file I need to set

I meant the k7 kernel. The one you get from sudo apt-get install linux-k7.
It also used to happen on k8 when I was on 64 bits
