I had some trouble with my Feisty installation, 'cause it didn't boot
the generic kernel. I have a Pentium D930, and I really didn't want to
use just one core, so i downgraded to dapper.
Once I installed Dapper (on 100GB unpartitioned disk space) i wanted to
upgrade to edgy. As far as i knew my ed
sudo update-initramfs not only works for edgy... it works for feisty
fawn too!
i had the same problem over here with my 2.6.20-15-generic kernel, after
updating initramfs ($ sudo update-initramfs -u -k 2.6.20-15-generic)
everything worked fine...
i wonder why this bug still exists on feisty
