Confirmed on ubuntu 15.10.
I tried lsusb -v, Kirils workaround, the usb power management mode, nothing
works.
However if I boot with the disk plugged, it's ok.

you are absolutely right for the wildcard, I checked with an ls before :-)
It's wiser to use a perfect match.
The files I had to remove (in fact moved to my /tmp folder...)
