Setting "acpi=off" seems to delay the problem from occurring. But he problem inevitably resurfaces, particularly when using resource intensive applications such as Eclipse. I am using Dell Optiplex 755 desktop (4 GB RAM with Intel GMA X3100). The only surefire workaround is turning off "Repeat keys
