did u guys make sure that the mute is not on a nd in sound prefs pcm is
NOT muted as well as the main sound, if so umute them and esp PCM needs
to be unmuted and raise the volume level to the level u want to use.

okay i did this:
created a new user via users and groups
set my own password - easy for the test user, of course
Desktop user named testuser
i set the checkbox to the ability to administor the system
logged out of my user, signed in as testuser - startx and tried it out -
same thing :/

rooted in home, disabled firewall, changed themes, & tried it in the
user root, user root is fine, :( and not that I can tell no nothing in
the /var/log/xorg.conf file i think.. u can close this bug then if it's

2.6.22-12-generic kernel Does not check correctly for the blacklist.save file

install libglade dev. files if u get an error such as gtk + then at the
end it mentionsl libglad, untar the source - abeit twice for some reason, and
then go into the folder src and replace the patched file above just move it and
it should ask to rename/replace, etc.. replace and then do a

I turned off hinting but i still get blurry ness in the console window

okay i FINALlY got 2.6.22-14-generic installed However it ran fast on
the CD but not on this upgrade :( the drives DID INDEED change from SCSI
ones to back to HDA and when running hdparm -t /dev/hda1 it shows

So, what's the common denominator here?
We have three people who can not boot with the new kernels 2.6.22-13 or
2.6.22-14, but can boot with earlier kernels or releases of that kernel.
If this problem was happening on all machines they would not of released
those kernels.

i also have a hanging bug - someone posted on mine and well it looks the
same error as cmonkey on the SATA part, i didn't have the errors and .13
kernel itself was working just fine and then i did some updates and wamo
all was lost

GUTSY - Won't boot after upd
yes i can't also boot after the .14 kernel also, and still .12 works for
me also. I'm adding the .14 to the description.

i've had this issue sort of myself an example is that i blacklisted midi
and supertux still plays midis which is odd because there is no midi
modules to be found in lsmod. So i'm guessing this is similiar and if so
then it's a confirm from me also.

if ur using a nvidia card and the nvidia drivers from nvidia.com on each
kernel update one needs to always re-install it.

after an update a few minute
mime does the same thing but says halted or whatever and then everything
acts like it shutoff - usb mouse is off, etc.. however keyboard ps/2
works fine after all that - really really odd, restarts work fine tho.
