Hi, I haven't tried this on Hardy, but since this is the root for this
bug report, I'll post my findings here. I have tested all suggestions
posted here as well as under #119308 and none of them worked for me.
The PC config:
Dell Optiplex 745
Dual Core Intel 2.13 GHz
2GB RAM
Wired network
no X-win
