Its been happening for a while now and there seems to be no way I have
found to reproduce it.
I only have to hard reset using power button to bring it back up.
Since the problem occurred, I have applied all possible updates from the
software center and still it persists.

After booting the pc from the suspend state, keyboard is not wor
I have the same problem on Acer Aspire 5020. After suspend sometimes
keyboard is not responsible at all.
Putting following file in /etc/pm/sleep.d/90-keyboard and making
runnable fixes all the problems :)

Jef: probably because they are _less_ shiny and less obtrusive than
default icons.
They are just sit there without invading your mind :)
The classical look Human icons much more "aggressive" and standing out
of folder icon.
