Will this be assigned or prioritized? It effectively prevents any
installation on my machine. And from the looks to the right side there
are several others with the same problem.

Title:
Graphical display only shows top half of screen

Display goes black right after boot. If ESC is pressed repeatedly it will show
the UBUNTU loading screen as per normal. Once it goes graphical though only the
top half of the screen is visible. See this thread for more information.

same problem here, netbook Asus 1005HA.
Sound does not work since Maverick.
Worked 2 or 3 times, after some install // reinstall of alsa //
pulseaudio...but nothing after reboot.
device detected but : cat /proc/asound/cards : --- no soundcards ---
and 'no codecs found' error message.
