Actually, that "fix" was incorrect in my opinion.
The bug was related with gcc 4.3 and HDF 1.8.1 and the "fix" was about new HDF
1.6 package.
However, since ubuntu moved to gcc 4.4 and HDF now 1.8.4 and there are
no such compilation issues, this bug is really obsolete.

It is just empty.
The most working workaround (and I actually use it) is do not plug HTC

I confirm this bug under Xubuntu Intrepid 8.10.

Found solution.
Problems can be solved
1) by hands: check if this helps then go to 2)
After "sudo pm-suspend"
sudo rmmod ath_pci
sudo modprobe ath_pci
sudo /etc/init.d/NetworkManager restart
Network appears. If so, automate this

sudo vim /etc/pm/config.d/modules:

worked for me.
However, in my opinion, this should be commented out better.
At least, there should be some record in xorg.conf indicating that this file is
