I have experienced this bug as well with 10.10 - I have included a screen shot,
here are my specs;
Gateway ZA8
after using lspci -v | less
00:00.0 Host bridge: ATI Technologies Inc RS690 Host Bridge
Subsystem: Acer Incorporated [ALI] Device 028c
Flags: bus master, 66MHz, medium
And again - same laptop, Acer ZA8 - same trackpad issues. I just
downloaded and installed today (1-19-2011).
