hi,yesterday i tried to run ubuntu 7.10 64bit as a liveCD but nothing is
displayed during the whole process not even the progress bar. Then i
tried to run the 32bit 7.10 as a liveCD and it turns out fine. Later i
tried the 64bit liveCD again with safe graphic mode but failed t
now i found out tat when i disable the wired network(LAN) at system >
administration > network, the slowness disappear and everything is back
to normal
however if i re-enable the LAN connection, the problem persist

yes..i have the EXACT same prob...not onli tat,when i start kolf, it
took almost 15 sec to open and the windows will be grayed out while
playing
also opening terminal is slow
