i think that is another problem because suspend or not, some times i can't

i think that in the stable version they have fixed it. I'm testing
ubuntu 9.04 stable. no problems for this two days. I'm going to
continue this test :-)

The persistent mode works again. :-)

I loved the persistent feature of 6.10 on an USB stick.
( I had my Ubuntu always with me :-) )
I spent a lot of time (may nights) trying to get it working with 7.04.
Unfortunately with no success.
It would be very sad if the 7.40 Bug would still be on 7.10.
