I was experiencing this problem on 13.04 raring ringtail, running
gnome-classic (didn't have ubuntu-desktop package installed).
Installing geoclue-examples and restarting seemed to fix the problem.

This only occurs with the 2.6.27-7 generic Kernel - so it was the update
to this kernel that broke it.
I rebooted into 2.6.24-19 and everything works fine!

I Connected a Nokia N95 (N95-1) via USB, option for "Auto GSM network

When playing a video using totem, a blank screen occurs. Cannot ctrl-
alt-X or ctrl-alt-F2 out either.
It seems to freeze everything, when connected via ssh that also freezes
too.
Changing the xorg.conf in Hardy and forcing the
output is attached. I did this by double clicking the network share,
then while nautilus was waiting for it to open (it taking a long time
before timing out is a symptom of the bug) ran "gdb --pid 10531" where
10531 is the pid of the gvfsd-smb process that had just been started.

I ran gvfsd -r, then clicked through to one of the shares. The output
below came up instantly, but nautlius gave me the "opening TVEPS4. You
can stop this any time by clicking cancel" message for a while (it did
this as per my original bug report too) before repeating the same
message as per my ori
Well i went ahead and installed gvfs-mount from the package gvfs-bin,
and from the command line it seems to mount:

But then when i click on it from the places menu, it takes quite a while
then gives the above error message

ahead and install it as I await further instructions from you. gvfsd -r hangs.

Ok my experience is the similar to above.
It seemed to happen after resizing some fat32 partitions using the
gparted livecd and then booting back.
Also before these messages i had the message:
lookup_group: specified group 'nvram' unknown
Which i fixed by adding nvram to the system group or so
Forgot to mention in running Feisty Beta, been keeping it up to date as
well.

Removing and reinstalling firefox ***seems*** to have fixed the problem,
