The system seems to be trying to copy the file to kdecache and fails for
some reason. At the point above I have removed the cd from the drive and
kde is still tryi

a Cd with 99 tracks slows dolphin very very badly

i havbe tried normal music cds which slow things down but not badly.
With the 99 track cd it tales about 20 seconds for dolphin to start and
using dolphin for browsing my computer's file system is nearly
impossible.
Konquorer appears not to slow down.

to access settings.

I'm sure I have had a similar issue. My main login lost all desktop
settings and they don't appear to be saved on login. On the main log in
screen the passed user name isn't stored. I created a new user and the
new user appears to have all the correct settings saved. I tried
renamimg all the plasma
I am upgrading from rc to 7,10. The upgrade fails during the modifying software
channels.
An error box appears saying the system is up to date.
closing the box and the wizard rolls the upgrade back.
running update goes back to the distribution update wizard.
