This is really obnoxious. I thought I'd get used to it once gnome3 and
unity came out, but it's only made me more frustrated as time goes on.
I miss the old gconf way of doing things, where a user could change
anything they disagreed with. This seems more like locking the end
users into the lowes
I've noticed the same thing, and in its current state, it's unusable
without being manually changed. After installing it, it took me 2+ days
to figure out what was wrong with it and why I couldn't log in.

A lot of people seem to lose scrolling functions after this happens. I
don't have that happen to me. About 90% of the time, when I start
Ubuntu, after I log in (I don't usually move the mouse before I log in,
but I can check that) and move the mouse a bit, it happens. However,
once it calms down
I also got a popup window once (only once) with this message:

just clicked a menu or some application just decided to get focus.

I'm getting the same errors with a few more.

I take that back...It worked on one file, but is now not working on
another. I suppose a temporary fix would be to use EasyTag on the ipod
and make sure each one is in utf-8. Do you know if I can just select
all and make sure they're in utf-8?

Also, when I delete something locally, the server keeps a copy of it,
and the local machine refuses to download the message. This causes the
messages on the server to build up and require me to log on to delete
them. This goes against the purpose of having a mail client edit
messages on my comput

Using Evolution 2.12, whenever I try to download messages for offline
use (when using Exchange mode), program crashes. Also, when trying to
edit files in offline mode, upon re-connecting, none of my changes are
loaded onto the server.

This is also a problem on the Xubuntu i386 LiveCD. That may not be a
problem for most people who only pop the CD in and install, but for

I also have xubuntu installed on an PC with the Intel i810 chipset. I
can verify Legio's comment about changing the color depth in xorg.conf
from 24 to 16 allowing the terminal to work.

It turns out that up until 2.6.20-14-22 I was fine. When it installed
2.6.20-14-23 is when everything messed up. Also, when I log into
2.6.20-13, my wireless interface is not recognized. I have the logs for
aptitude as well as dmesg and any other logs you may need, however, it
may be a few hours
