On my Dell Inspiron 700m with the default Intrepid alpha 3 install I get
audio noise after a user login as it plays the login sound. The noise
is overlayed with the actual audio which can still be heard albeit
somewhat obscured.
The hardware test applet says I have "I82801DB
I had the same problem with Hardy Beta with an mx440 based card
(Dell/nVidia P117) and after switching to the nvidia new driver from the

i955 fix which would change the resolution to 1280x800 for me. The new
Intel driver gives me correct resolution out of the box but I get the
