I'm not sure if this bug should be closed, given that? It's not exactly
a bug, but it is slightly unexpected behavior, and it trips up a lot of
newer users. Plus nothing in the install procedure tells you that you
should have to go poking around in fstab

I got this too -- in my case, I do not even have a CD-ROM drive. It was
caused by a leftover /etc/fstab entry made during installation. You
might take a look at your fstab -- see if you have an entry in their for
your cd-rom. If you do, deleting it should cause the disk mounter to go
back to functi
