I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 with Openoffice 2.4.1, and I have the same problem. I
cannot play audio or music files in Impress,
neither mp3 or wav.

When a CD of audio is burning with Brasero the CD-TEXT information about the
track doesn't appear.
I have installed K3b in Ubuntu and it has no problem, but I prefer to use
Brasero because it is part of Gnome and
