Updated to the final release of Firefox 3 from Synaptic. Still the problem persists. Also the Network manager shows "No network connection" even when I am typing this online. It used to be so even at the time of Gutsy, but FF2 didn't bother me. The problem also shows up in Pidgin. Hope anyone does
