It's been so long ago, that I don't even remember the issue.
Besides this, I'm using Arch now, so I cannot even reproduce the
incident to answer your question.

I agree with Vasilis' notice above. I've first noticed it on Firefox and
Thunderbird buts it happens for all windows.
When that option is enabled all is working well. But the reason I've
disabled it is that I don't want to see all the application in the
Switch beacuse most of them runs in the back
