I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 and VLC 2.0.8 and still getting this error message.
and it sounds horrible on Bluetooth.
Is there a version 3 of PulseAudio available for Ubuntu thru repos?

I made some unrelated changes to menu.lst then did an update-grub.
To my surprise, in the diff it showed adding the line: "initrd
/initrd.img-3.0.0-12-generic"
Apparently, during the upgrade from natty, the installer 'forgot' to add this
very cruical line and i hadn't noticed.

I updated my system to Ubuntu 11.10 (oneiric). I have kernel 3.0.0-12.20.
The system won't start with this new version. I get always the same message

I tried installing FGLRX to a Live USB (with the persistence file) and
got this also. my output of sudo apt-get install fglrx is:

His fix doesn't stop it from crashing, but does create a generic Auto
Playlist, which you can change to fit whatever criteria u want.

i'm on Hardy x64 and i have this same problem with vuze.
is there a new flashplayer x64 plugin that doesn't crash vuze out there?
ps. the x32 doesn't work, but at least is doesn't crash the entire
program.

i just did all the latest updates to hardy, and i'm still getting this problem.
matter of fact, its worse now. it doesn't even connect w/o telling me...it
just doesn't connect at all.
could this be a permissions issue? i notice i have to type sudo openvpn
openvpn.conf to get it working from cmd
