I'm not saying you have to install it, I'm saying that after install it you
will have only one icon on the launcher, except if you open another windows.
That's the correct and normal behavior, IMHO.

Well, treating the trash different from any other nautilus windows could
make sense, but not in the rest of cases. Open your home folder, mount your
NTFS partition (a lot of users like me does) and mount your pendrive unit
and you'll have 3 icons for the same windows.-

Well, this is a mess. I use a NTFS partition for my files and if I open
Trash I have 3 differents icons for the same program.
Files, or Nautilus, it's one program and should work like any other
program. 1 icon for each program instead of 1 icon for each windows of the
same program.

Yes, it's reproducible; in my system all I have to do is open Firefox
and minimize it, then two arrows are shown instate of one (see the .png
attached in my first post). Only one instance of Firefox open and
doesn't matter the number of opened tabs.

new mails arrives, the mail icon turns green for a few seconds and the
