I am using the .35 kernel with 10.04. This worked upon initial install
but subsequent upgrades have not. Upon updating and restarting, X had
no correct default setting, so I had it generate a new one that worked.
When I logged-in, it needed to download and install the NVidia

However when the laptop goes to sleep, I must manually load and unload
the module. Is there a way that I can fix this also?

I have tried to burn a DVD .iso with this program, k3b, gnomebaker. All
3 have the same problem - they cannot burn, failing immediately.

Ok. I installed the gedit-dev package and performed the steps to get a

The new kernel with the old driver work fine with one exception - my
laptop will restart with no problem but now when I shut it down, it
seems to shut almost all of the way down - to the point where the screen
goes black right before it would normally power down but it never
actually powers down.
I reverted the nvidia driver to the 177 release and suspend works fine
again.

I have the source of the music on another computer and that share is
mounted on the local machine.
If I am streaming the MP3 with movie player and advance or rewind the
song, it immediately kills the network connection. Network Manager goes
completely dead and seems unaware that I have a wireless

I have the same machine. It runs hot and gets about half of the battery
