I installed Ubuntu 10.04 Server, ran sudo aptitude update, sudo aptitude
safe-upgrade, restarted. Then, sudo aptitude install ubuntu-desktop,
restart.
The login screen appears normally, click username, enter correct
password. It appears that the X session then crashes and res
The install completes fully when I install with the same
username/password combination used in the Karmic install.
I don't know whether to call this a bug or not. My use case may be
outside the expectations of the developers.
