when you plug the usb hard drive in and then boot ubuntu the system recognizes
the drive and i can mount and unmount the drive with no problems
i have copied and written 700 meg files with no problems, it is only when i
remove the usb cable and then plug it in t
have the same problem with my external 2.5" usb hdd
worked under gusy and broke after heron upgrade
have reloaded xp back onto my system as patience wore thin for fix
i think this bug has become critical

i have used to have a usb hdd that worked under gutsy
after upgrade to heron the usb hdd did not work
after numerous posts my patience wore thin and i re loaded xp back onto
my laptop
every time i plug the usb hdd in on xp it works fine with no problems at
all

s a black shadow on the desktop where a box used to be
i can clear the box by going into compiz manager and then selecting and
deselecting the water effect
it is also cleared by selecting and deselected other effects
