When I type `man lsof` to read the manpage, part of it is garbled like

In Karmic, the symbolic link /usr/lib/libboost_thread.so no longer
exists. Only /usr/lib/libboost_thread-mt.so is in /usr/lib now.
This library comes from libboost-thread1.38.0.
Was the link removed on purpose?

I can confirm Dave Gilbert's report that this is still a problem on
Intrepid with pulseaudio-0.9.10-2ubuntu9.3. My sound still disappears
after a resume, and pasuspender echo makes my sound start working again.

I figured out the problem. When you change the preference in the Window
Preferences dialog, it puts "toggle_maximize_vert" in the gconf setting
/apps/metacity/general/action_double_click_titlebar. This is wrong. It
should put "toggle_maximize_vertically". If I manually enter that
