Why? I never had any issues with IRC in Kopete, why did they remove it?

yeah mine does the same thing, I started on 7.10 beta so when the
distribution upgrade thing came in I don't think it recognises that
there could exist something before 7.10 Official Release that doesn't
need
I didn't try joedekangeroe's solution, but another solution is to search
for your country's name in the repositories so I searched for Australia,
and found myspell-en-au and openoffice.org-thesaurus-en-au. I downloaded
both of these packages and restarted openoffice 2.3 and openoffice had
