I tried to do as instructed but when when I was prompted to give apport-collect
permissions for Launchpad the ability to "Change Non-Private" data I did, then
went back to the terminal and it stated this - Error connecting to Launchpad:

I don't use jaunty so I can't check. What happens when I hit the
slideshow button is the screen goes white and stays white. The program
exits when I hit the esc key.

Yes, the screen goes to white every time I try to use the slideshow so
it is reproducible. I loaded 1091 pictures from my camera. I click on
the slideshow button and the screen goes white. The slideshow toolbar
does work and when I click on 'exit full screen' the program completely
closes. The
