Here are 2 things I discovered since :
1. If I desactivate bluetooth before hibernate (Fn + F2), then
hibernate, resume and restart bluetooth (Fn + F2), it works.
2. If I hibernate (bluetooth still on), then resume, hit "sudo

Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 on an Dell Inspiron 9400 with bluetooth.
If I hibernate, when the computer wake up, bluetooth services don't
start and it becomes impossible to use bluetooth devices without
restarting (not by using suspend or hibernate of course !) the computer.

This is absolutely not critical, but that's a bug.
In Ubuntu 8.04 i386, if you activate the mouse pointer to splash when
hitting ctrl (in system/preferences/mouse), then you can't use ctrl +
alt + L for making the screensaver to run.
Very easy to reproduce

Suspend and hybernate have been a recurent problem under ubuntu since I
use it (2 years) for Inspiron 9400. I think, and I'm sad to say, this is
absolutely not one of the first concerns of kernel developpers. I just
hope it will eventually works as it is a major bug and it's hard to
convince people
I do have the same problem too...
I can't connect my bluetooth mouse under Hardy. I was able without any
problem under Gusty. I hope those who develop this very usefull utilty
will fix this !

this distribution anymore. That certanely have something to do with
Compiz but it seems it has been fixed since.

I don't know I its exactly same problem, but I was able to get my
hotmail by Evolution using Ubuntu 7.04 (using hotway) and I've updated
to 7.10 and now it doesn't let me use port 110 and I'm no more able to
get my mail.

ya exactly.
"Diaporama it" would mean (probably a bad translation from my French
version sry) that you need to press "F5" the exit "F5" mode then close
openoffice. If you don't go in "F5" mode, you wont be able to reproduce
the bug.
Yes it is very annoying, but absolutely not critical !

In ubuntu 7.04, if you use control (up, down and mute) on your computer
(mine is Inspiron 9400) volume fallow, but not HFE (wish is in fact
disable by default and should not).
Same happens if you do use master volume control.
