What I'm trying to report is the fact that they've all closed, and sudo
is the only way to get them open. Meaning, they won't open back on my
admin account, b/c when I try to open them on my admin, it forces me to
do sudo, making me root, and my desktop is shot!

That's the only way it will allow you to launch it, after they've all
been closed. You can't launch it with anything other than sudo
