Public bug reported:
The ubuntu-10.04.1-src-1.iso file is only 6.5 MB (6,592,512 bytes). The
ubuntu-10.04-src-1.iso is 2.5 GB. I mounted the 10.04.1 .iso using a
loop device and when I try to access any of the files it gets an I/O
error.
I checked the file on
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/
I notice that the source directory has been completely removed for
Mythbuntu, which is cool I guess. The Kubuntu-kde4-8.04.1-src and
Xubuntu-8.04.1-src are still empty.
Since the Kubuntu-kde4 went away with 8.10 that problem has gone away in
8.10. The only funky thing left is the Xubuntu-8.10-sr
Pardon my ignorance, I realize now that there isn't a 8.04.2 version of
Kubuntu, Edubuntu, Xubuntu, etc. that is why they were still on the
cdimage server.

I guess the question now is there some ineffeciency running with

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 that came with Ubuntu 7.04 pre-installed
(purchased in Nov. 2007). In December 2007 I installed Kubuntu-7.10 on
it and have been using it ever since. When 8.04 came out in April 2008
I tried to install Kubuntu-8.
I have used Evolution all day, everyday since then without any problems
at all. This may have been some kind of strange fluke.

Call me crazy, but it seems like it would make more sense to just not

Hi Chris,
I have attached an old file called label-20050102-001.odg that shows
the difference. This file would not really be a terrible problem
because it still fit in the CD area, it just looks funny. I had some
labels that had 4 lines of text at the bottom and then it caused a
problem because
Hi Chris,
I can probably dig up an old file if you would like to see it. I
found that if I changed the font in the old documents that they were
okay (of course that requires editing them).
Thanks

I opened some .odt text files that were created on Mac OS X with
OpenOffice and the text spacing appears to be wrong on this system as
well. The text is too far apart.
So I reverted my machine back to 6.10 (edgy) and the labels are once
again correct, however the text documents are still longer.
I forgot to mention that this is running on a PowerPC, NOT x86.
