UK Macintosh International keyboard. Everything works, except for the
single/ double quote key. (That includes ` ~ § ± \ | € £ # (which is
obtained via right alt key and backslash key, weirdly. Took ages to work
that out for writing code.)

I have this problem, too, running on fully patched 7.10. I tried
installing the sun official 2.3.0 and 2.3.1 debs in place of the ubuntu
version, but this also failed to show anything in place of the

Well I've just tried removing (technically commenting, is this
different?) nvidia from /etc/modules, rebooted, suspended, and it
resumed (via tty1 and back again).
So what is causing the problem? I've just tried with my usb hard drive

I have this problem too.
I have a Vaio FS315-S, which will hibernate, but will not resume from
suspend. On waking up, the hard drive makes noises, the cd drive makes
noises, but I can't switch to a tty and back again to bring X back, nor
can I ssh in.

firmware under network manager, the machine locks up and needs a hard
reset. However, when I *don't* use NM and configure w

I can connect fine using

wpa_supplicant
dhclient
But the balls on network manager just spin forever and ever. I can't try
using ndiswrapper as it's on my iBook G4.

Vincenzo's tip also works for me.
I disable tapping by default, but when waking from suspend, tapping was
always enabled, and scrolling disabled. Using the
DOUBLE_CONSOLE_SWITCH=true line works though. (Although the screen does
flash twice and it looks sort of ugly, but it's no longer a show
stopp
